“God places the lonely in families.”
Psalm 68:6
Psalm 68:6
While only 1% of the US population has spent time in Foster Care,
…50% of the homeless have spent time in Foster Care
…70% of girls rescued from sex trafficking spent time in Foster Care
…65% of those incarcerated spent time in Foster Care
Yes, these statistics are alarming. But if our church can provide loving, wrap-around support for foster families who are caring for these vulnerable children – those alarming statistics can be reversed!
God commands us to care for the orphan (James 1:27),
to provide for the needy (Isaiah 58:7), and
to sacrifice in order to share with others (Hebrews 13:16).
